2011 Home - Victorian
Jolenes's 2nd attempt at building a doll house was a punch-out kit which had to be put together.
On this doll house she received a lot of help and advice from Jeanette S. who had built many doll houses.
Jeanette showed her how to build furniture and make various other pieces from items around the house.
This house was not electrified, but battery operated lights were used. The shingles for
the roof were all made by Jolene, as she wanted the looks of shake shingles. There are over 4000
handmade shingles placed on the roofs. The paint, for a stucco look on the outside for the siding,
is a light gray with sand mixed in give the textured look
Jolene handmade the toilet paper holder from
a tooth paste cap, wire and a ball, and the roll of toilet paper

After building 2 doll houses, Jolene decided she wanted to build a doll house just for herself,
with the furnishings and landscaping she wanted.
Jolene did an awsome job building these houses. The details are outstanding.
